Meet the Board of Directors
Annick Kabeya – President
After serving as a Vice President, Annick was voted as JCI Calgary 2017 President. Annick is a graduate from the University of Calgary and work for one of most prominent real estate research and advisory firm. Annick is a dedicated steward of life and enjoy learning. She believes in leading by grace. As the President of JCI Calgary Annick is responsible for the well-being and overall supervision of the Chapter provide guidance to the chapter and to serve JCI’s Calgary’s Members.
Blair Rogers – Treasurer
As Treasurer, I am responsible for the organization’s financial stewardship. This involves planning and managing the budget, tracking inflows and outflows of capital and ensuring we meet our obligations as a Not-For-Profit. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that this role entails!
My goal on the board is to bring prudent financial management while allowing flexibility to achieve the broader outcomes of the JCI Calgary organization.
I work as a Drilling and Well Servicing Engineer/Superintendent and hold a degree in BASC Chemical Engineering, University of Waterloo.
I have a munchkin cat name Trixie and she is adorable!
Tanysia – Director of Membership
Tanysia Komers is a different kind of CFP (Certified Financial Planner). She studied Creative Writing at the University of Victoria, played varsity level rugby, took some time in Spain to complete an International Hospitality Internship, and teaches micro-econ for fun. A self-proclaimed “nerd”, she fell in love with the complexities of financial planning and the personal relationships she builds with clients when she began her practice with Investors Group in 2010.
Tanysia is thrilled to be involved with JCI; a community that has both a local and international impact and has helped her to build a network of forward-thinking, active and charitable individuals.
When Tanysia isn’t promoting financial literacy or corralling professionals for results, you can find her in the mountains, on her yoga mat, or with her nose buried in a book.

Zhanna Lyubykh – Director of Training
Zhanna has graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a MSc degree in Management. She is passionate about research and analysis. She is currently working for one of the largest non-for-profit in Calgary conducting research on food insecurity.
As a Director of Training at JCI, she is responsible for booking speakers and trainers, organizing effective speaking competition, and coordinating JCI training courses.
Kelsi Vescarelli – Director of Events
Kelsi graduated from the University of Calgary with dual degrees from the Haskayne School of Business with a BComm in Marketing and a BA in Italian studies. She is passionate about business, culture, travel & people! She has an extensive background in event planning and volunteering through her career and various volunteer and not-for-profit activities. As the Director of Events for JCI, her responsibilities are to oversee and organize the events and event planning for JCI Calgary. One of her main goals this year is to organize events to not only bring JCI members together but to plan sustainable fundraising initiatives for the chapter so they are better equipped to leave a positive impact in the community.
